Imperial Issues Annual Report

Dec 22, 2008-The Imperial Tobacco Group issued its 2008 annual report and accounts on Friday, and announced that its 2009 Annual General Meeting is to be held at the Bristol Marriott Hotel City Centre on February 3. The report issued on Friday was in line with the report of its preliminary results issued and reported here on November 25. Also on Friday, the company issued its corporate responsibility report. Chief executive, Gareth Davis, said that managing Imperial's business responsibly was fundamental to its long-term success as the company increased in size, expanded into new geographies, faced new regulatory challenges, and experienced pressures as a result of the global economic crisis and issues such as climate change.
