British American Tobacco Selects Citi as Depositary Bank Source from: Banking Business Review 12/11/2008 British American Tobacco has selected Citigroup's global transaction services business as the successor depositary bank for its American depositary receipt program.
Citi in a statement said that it is looking forward to leveraging its value-added resources, including its product and market expertise, wealth of experience in investor relations support, and global distribution network to assist British American Tobacco in maximizing the benefits of its American depositary receipt (ADR) program.
Ralph Edmondson, head of investor relations at British American Tobacco, said: "We are very pleased with the appointment of Citi as our new ADR depositary and are looking forward to developing a strong working relationship with Citi, which I am sure will benefit both British American Tobacco and its ADR holders."
