Bulgaria's Cigarette Excise Revenue to Rise 25 per Cent Source from: Tobacco Reporter 11/27/2008 Bulgaria's Customs Agency is expecting to collect a record revenue of BGN8 billion this year, according to a Novinite report quoting the agency's director, Hristo Kulishev.
Speaking during a press conference yesterday, Kulishev said that during the first nine months of this year the agency had collected more than BGN7 billion, of which more than BGN3 billion had comprised excise taxes.
Cigarette excise revenue had increased by 25 per cent over that of 2007, alcohol excise revenue had gone up by 55 per cent and fuel excise revenue had risen by 22 per cent, he added. Enditem
