Lorillard Elects New Board Member

Robert C. Almon has been elected to the board of directors at Greensboro tobacco company Lorillard Inc Lorillard's board now comprises eight members. Almon, 57, is a retired principal of Ernst & Young where he served on the firm's partner advisory council. He was also a managing director in corporate finance at Salomon Brothers, now Citigroup, and a strategic adviser in transportation and logistics with Lehman Brothers. He began his career with General motors. Almon will serve on Lorillard's audit and compensation committees. Enditem
