Lorillard Names New Board Member

Lorillard Inc. said today that Robert C. Almon is joining the company's Board of Directors, effective immediately. The board now includes eight members, six of whom are non-executive independent directors. Almon, 57, is a retired principal of Ernst & Young LLP. Almon previously was a managing director in corporate finance at Salomon Brothers (now Citigroup) and also worked at Lehman Brothers. He retired in 2007. Enditem
