Iggesund CEO in Paper Hall of Fame

Lars G. Sundblad, CEO of Iggesund Paperboard until 1984, has been inducted into the Paper Industry International Hall of Fame in Appleton, Wisconsin, USA. He was selected for his achievements in entrepreneurship, leadership and marketing and sales. As the young CEO of Iggesund Paperboard, Sundblad instructed the small pulp mill on Sweden's northern Baltic coast to focus on producing added value pulp products—in particular solid bleached board—at a time when few people in Europe even knew what the product was, let alone wanted to buy it. "I'm honored to have been chosen as an inductee," said Sundblad, who is now retired and enjoys watching the fruits of his efforts continuing to flourish. Enditem
