Switzerland Likely to Follow EU Lead on LIP Cigarettes

Switzerland could, like the EU, require tobacco manufacturers to sell only lowered ignition propensity (LIP) cigarettes from 2011, according to a report by Jessica Dacey for swissinfor. Dacey quoted health office spokesman, Michael Anderegg, as saying that it was "quite possible" that Switzerland would follow suit if the EU required that only LIP cigarettes were on sale within the EU.
