China: Henan Tobacco Industry Explores Possible Venture in Panama

Henan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation - the operator of the tobacco industry in central China's Henan Province - is exploring the possibility of establishing a cigarette-processing enterprise in Panama, in striving to develop its international trade. On July 18, Deputy General Manager Zhao Zhizheng of Henan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation led a delegation grouping leaders of the corporation's import-export department to Beijing to hold talks with the Panama-China Trade Development Representative Office on the possibility of establishing a cigarette-processing enterprise in Panama. During the talks, the delegation of Henan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation particularly consulted the Panama-China Trade Development Representative Office on foreign trade policies of the Panamanian government, including taxation, employment, etc. According to Henan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation, the talks achieved the desired target and made constructive achievements.
