Two Cited in Aurora Tobacco Check

Aurora police randomly checked businesses that sell tobacco products citywide last Sunday, and found that only two of the 12 stores visited sold to an underage person who was working with police. Clerks at La Victoria, 100 North State St.; and the Shell gas station in the 2946 E. New York St.; were served with notices to appear in court for delivery of tobacco to a minor. Clerks checked the underage person's identification and refused to sell tobacco at the 7-11 in the 1700 block of North Farnsworth Avenue; One Stop, 1005 Claim St.; Shell Gas, 1851 N. Farnsworth; Fiesta Foods, 220 Jackson St.; Amigo Foods, 417 Plum St.; Mobil, in the 1000 block of North Lake Street; 7-11, 600 Frontenac St.; Citgo gas stations at 2112 Ogden Ave., and the 500 block of Hill Avenue; and Jay's Liquor, 3450 Montgomery Road.
