Manuel Quesada to Debut Two New Brands

Manuel Quesada, maker of Fonseca and Cubita cigars, is set for a busy International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers trade show. He's created two new cigar brands, one an ultra-powerful extension to his Fonseca brand, the other his first company-owned Nicaraguan smoke. The Fonseca Cubano Viso Fuerte is being made at Quesada's Manufactura de Tabacos S.A., in Santiago, Dominican Republic. It's powered by a Dominican binder and filler and a Cuban-seed Nicaraguan wrapper. Quesada promised it would be a powerful smoke. "That'll put some hair on your chest," said Quesada. The cigars will have suggested retail prices from $6 to $7.50. Casa Magna is being rolled at the Segovia Cigar factory in Estel? Nicaragua, which is owned by Nestor Plasencia. The brand is a Nicaraguan puro that will retail for $5 to $6.50 per cigar. It has ornate labels that Quesada says are evocative of those of pre-embargo Cuba. Enditem
