Tobacco Machinery Company Inaugurated in Southwest China

Yunnan Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd., established on the basis of technical transformation and systemic conversion of the former Yunnan Tobacco Machinery Plant in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province, was inaugurated at a high-profile plate-unveiling ceremony held in the provincial capital city of Kunming on May 22. At the ceremony, General Manager Wang Chongguang of China National Tobacco Machinery Group Co., Ltd. and General Manager Zhang Shuichang of Yunnan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation jointly unveiled the plate of Yunnan Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd., and separate delivered speeches to mark event. Yunnan Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. was jointly established by Yunnan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation and China National Tobacco Machinery Group Co., Ltd. on the basis of technical transformation and systemic conversion of the former Yunnan Tobacco Machinery Plant, as a major step in implementing the important instruction of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA) to "establish a close relationship between the tobacco machinery manufacturing industry and the tobacco industry in the new historical period of time." The scope of business of Yunnan Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. mainly includes the research and development, designing, production, overhaul and marketing of specialized tobacco machinery, and the designing, production and marketing of parts and components of specialized tobacco machinery. The inauguration of Yunnan Tobacco Machinery Co., Ltd. signifies further deepening of the relationship of close cooperation between Yunnan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation and China National Tobacco Machinery Group Co., Ltd., and the opening of a new page in the development of the tobacco machinery manufacturing industry in Yunnan.
