Thai Tobacco Industry Delegation Visits Hongta Group

A high-level delegation of the tobacco industry of Thailand recently paid a visit to Hongta Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer. Deputy Chief Engineer Wang Liwu of Hongta Group received the Thai delegation, which included members of a preparatory committee for the establishment of a new cigarette factory in Thailand. The Thai delegation visited Tobacco Cutting Workshop No. 2 and Cigarette Making Workshop No. 2 at Yuxi Cigarette Factory of Hongta Group, and inquired about production and equipment operation at Hongta in light of the technological processes of tobacco cutting and cigarette making. Afterwards, the two sides held a symposium, in which Deputy Chief Engineer Wang Liwu briefed the Thai delegation on the organizational structure, international market development, technical transformation, etc of Hongta Group. At the symposium, the two sides also held discussions on issues of common concern, including leaf tobacco imports, tariffs and channels of cigarette sales. Enditem
