The old factory which was once a well-known part of Greenville's historic district became the center of an arson investigation a few weeks ago.
The Imperial Tobacco Warehouse fire will likely go down in history as one of the biggest fires the East has seen. It took thousands of gallons of water and more than one hundred hours for firefighters to tame the flames. Now this is what the Greenville Police Department is left with:
Rubble and no solid evidence of who reduced this historic building to a pile of debris.
Officer Mike Harper calls this investigation a big puzzle his team is trying to piece together.
Harper says, "Just trying to get in there and find bits and pieces of evidence never know what was destroyed because of the fire or never know what was blown away with the wind."
