Cigarette Packets to Carry Graphic Warnings

The Minister for Health and Children, Mary Harney, is to introduce legislation to allow for the introduction of graphic health warnings on tobacco products. The government plans to introduce combined text and photo warnings on tobacco products following public consultation. It has identified 14 warnings that are to be used on the Irish market. All interested parties are asked to get in touch with the department of health over when the warnings should be rolled out before the submission deadline of 20 June. Enditem
