Prices of Flue-Cured Virginia tobacco have touched an all-time high at the auctions in Andhra Pradesh, India, reports The Economic Times. At the end of May 8, the 76th day of the AP auction, 111.33 million kilograms had been sold for an average per kg price of INR78.44 ($1.86), almost 63 percent higher than the average of INR47.59 realized from the sale of 110.85 million kilograms (244.37 million pounds) in the corresponding period of last year's auction.
