Japan Tobacco Delays Integration of Frozen-Food Ops with Unit Katokichi - Report Source from: TOKYO (Thomson Financial) 2008-04-09 04/10/2008 Japan Tobacco Inc. plans to push back at least until this fall the consolidation of its frozen-food business with subsidiary Katokichi Co., Ltd., the Nikkei reported on Thursday, without citing sources.
The integration, involving everything from production through sales, had been slated to take place this month. However, JT is postponing the move due to the fallout from a poisoning scare involving Chinese-made "gyoza" dumplings imported by subsidiary JT Foods Co., the business daily said.
