Burton City Council Butts out of Tobacco Issue

City Council members chose to butt out of a move to prohibit tobacco products on city property. A tobacco-free ordinance which was approved by the former City Council, but never enacted, came before the council again Monday. Council members voted 6-0 to repeal the previous ordinance, which members said was unnecessary due to no-smoking legislation at the state and county levels. Enditem
