Mayr-Melnhof Karton Buys German Cigarette Packaging and Carton Manufacturer

VIENNA Thomson Financial News - Austria's Mayr-Melnhof Karton (OOTC:MNHFY) AG said its unit Mayr-Melnhof Packaging has bought Field Packaging GmbH in Bremen, a company which specialises in the production of cigarette packaging and high-grade folding cartons. Field Packaging is a unit of US company Chesapeake Corporation (NYSE:CSK) , a manufacturer of paper board and plastic packaging, and is expected to generate sales of around 10 mln eur annually, Mayr-Melnhof said in a statement.
