Armed Man Robs Cedar Rapids Tobacco Shop

An armed man robbed the Tobacco Outlet, 2846 Mount Vernon Rd. SE, tonight, police said. The man entered the store about 6:30 p.m., as the clerk was preparing to close the business, and showed a handgun, police Sgt. David Dostal said. The clerk handed over an undetermined amount of cash, and the man left the store. The robber was described as about 5 feet 8 inches tall wearing jeans, a dark hooded sweat shirt, sunglasses, and a white mask covering his face.
