New York and Pennsylvania are among 6 states taking a tobacco company to court.

Attorney's General in the 8 states say the ad violates a national ban on the use of cartoons in cigarette ads.

Several multi-million dollar lawsuits have now been filed against tobacco company R.J. Reynolds.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett says the spread "flies in the face" of the tobacco companies' pledge to halt all tobacco marketing to children.
"When the tobacco settlement was first created the Joe Camel advertising campaign was singled out as an especially offensive effort to market cigarettes to children. Now nearly a decade later cartoons are being used to market the camel brand," said Corbett.
