Tobacco Compliance Check Source from: kqcd.com 11/20/2007 11/21/2007 Bismarck Police held a tobacco compliance check last night, and they say tobacco retailers in the city are doing better about not selling to minors.
Only seven out of 41 businesses that sell tobacco sold to the 15 and 16 year olds who went into the stores. That`s one better than the last check in May.
Of the seven, six checked identification and sold anyway.
The one that didn`t check ID was Central Market.
Central Market is the only repeat offenders in the past two years. Other businesses that failed last night are the Unistop on 19th Street, K-Mart, Interstate Tesoro, the Loaf-n-Jug on Washington Street, Red Carpet Carwash, and the North Wal-Mart. Enditem
