Swedish Match springs design surprise

Swedish Match has changed the packaging design of its snus, R?da Lacket, which is being made available with 21 different tops and ten different banderoles. The company says that the design is based on an illustration that has been cut up so that each part forms a can top or banderole and therefore allows for constantly changing patterns. “A consumer of Rda Lacket never knows how his - or her - next can will look, said Jonas Andersson,” client director, Brandunion. “The idea is to maintain the same basic feeling, but offer a surprise." The motif, which is said to have ‘a kind of Monty-Python-goes-underground expression’, has been created by the illustrator, Jonas Carlberg, who has worked for such companies as Swatch. The design agency, Brandunion, has developed the overall design for R?da Lacket. Rda Lacket is available in both loose and portion-packed varieties. The taste is said to be mild and a little fruity, with a hint of licorice.
