Area Men Involved in $4.5 Mmillion Tobacco Scam

Convictions in a multi-million dollar tobacco scam involves nine people, including two men with ties to Lancaster County. The Lancaster New Era reports that the case stems from the purchase of cheap tobacco in Lancaster County and the illegal resale of it in Tennessee and possibly other southern states. Among the convicted are Kenneth A. Swayne of Strasburg, and Clarence W. Shirk of Beavertown, formerly of Farmersville. Enditem
