Tobacco Compliance Check Successful Source from: midiowanews.com 10/31/2007 11/01/2007 Submitted by Boone Police Chief William Skare, Boone News-Republican
On Oct. 23 and 24 the Boone Police conducted a Tobacco Compliance check on 13 retail establishments in the City of Boone.
This compliance check entails an under aged person entering the retail outlet and attempting to purchase a tobacco product.
The Boone Police are happy to announce that all 13 retailers successfully passed the compliance check and did not sell any tobacco products to the underaged person.
This is a result of the educational program by the Boone Police and the efforts by the retailers and their employees.
The purpose of this press release is to congratulate all 13 retailers for their performance: Casey's Store, both west and north side locations, Hy-Vee, Ooop's, both Kum and Go stores, Boone Golf and Country Club, L & M, Wal-Mart, Shortstop, Fareway, Southside Club and Wilson's Tap.
