Cigarette Factory Resumes Production of Specifications for The Philippines

Xiamen Cigarette Factory in southeast China's Fujian Province, which is a key tobacco manufacturer designated by the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, is planning to resume production of The Stone Lion (Red) and The Peaceful Lion - two well-known members of its Stone Lion brand family - in response to strong market demand from The Philippines. In a survey of cigarette markets in Southeast Asia conducted recently, a group of technicians organized by Fujian Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation - the operator of the provincial tobacco industry - discovered that cigarettes made in Fujian are well received by consumers in Southeast Asian nations, particularly The Philippines, and that both cigarette consumers and distributors there strongly demand that Xiamen Cigarette Factory continue supplying The Stone Lion (Red) and The Peaceful Lion whose production was suspended. In response, Fujian Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation has adopted a decision to resume production of the two specifications of cigarette products and has applied to the STMA for new bar codes for them. Resumed production of The Stone Lion (Red) and The Peaceful Lion will be in strict compliance with the original blending formula and packaging designing, with the only difference being the addition of a "For export only" label to the packet, carton and case, according to Fujian Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation. So far, The Stone Lion (Red) and The Peaceful Lion have been sold to markets in The Philippines only. Xiamen Cigarette Factory is also planning to extend their sales to other regions with a relatively large Chinese community. Enditem
