Factory to Increase Single-Brand Capacity to 100 Billion

When a technical upgrade at the Changde Cigarette Factory is complete in 2010, the factory will be capable of manufacturing 100 billion Furong (Hibiscus) cigarettes a year, according to a report in the Changde Daily. And it will be able to generate annual profits of about Yuan3 billion from sales worth about Yuan20 billion. Its capacity to manufacture Furongwang (The Hibiscus King) cigarettes alone will be increased from 10 billion to 30 billion a year. The factory, which is in Hunan province, is currently spending Yuan800 million on the upgrade, which includes the installation of a 6,000 kg/hr primary line.
