British American Tobacco Names Gray as Regional Director Africa, Middle East

British American Tobacco PLC said it has appointed Andrew Gray, currently the president of Souza Cruz, the group's Brazilian unit, to succeed Nicandro Durante as regional director, Africa & the Middle East. Last month, the company appointed Durante its chief operating officer with effect from Jan 1 2008 to replace Antonio Monteiro de Castro, who is retiring from the company. The company also said today that Flavio de Andrade is stepping down as director, Latin American & Caribbean with immediate effect and will be replaced by Mark Cobben, previously managing director, Germany.
