As would be expected from one of the world's leading suppliers of overwrapping and shrinkwrapping equipment to the tobacco industry, at Tabexpo, Marden Edwards will be demonstrating how its machinery can improve presentation and save money for producers of cigarettes, cigars, roll your own and make your own products. Marden Edwards manufactures machines for wrapping single or multipacks, as well as complete lines to wrap and collate individual products into multipacks which can then in turn be formed into transit packs ready for distribution. In every case, Marden Edwards uses the years of experience gained in this market to provide equipment able to handle a range of pack formats and wrapping materials, with only simple adjustments required to change from one product size to another. The two machines which will be running on the stand at Tabexpo are the WR200s, a compact medium speed wrapper that can wrap single or multipacks at speeds up to 150 wraps per minute. This unit can handle a wide range of product sizes with the ability to rapidly change from one size to another. Packs being wrapped on the WR200s will be fed to a B125RH8 collating and overwrapping machine that will collate the wrapped individual packs to produce a 200 cigarette multipack. This machine is designed to accept either boxed or loose packs for wrapping in film or paper and is available with a print registration system, enabling it to use pre-printed materials to produce an economical and attractive retail pack.
