Buying cigarettes through customer loyalty schemes, such as those available from supermarkets, will be banned under proposed legislation by the South Australian Government.
The schemes let people accumulate points with each purchase, which can be redeemed as goods or services later.
The Government also wants cigarettes from vending machines in hotels and clubs to be less accessible.
It is proposing that tokens be sold for use in cigarette vending machines, or that the machines be operated by an authorised person. Enditem
