Tobacco Festival Results are in

OTF Talent Show featured area's best A popular event at the Ohio Tobacco Festival is the annual talent show. The show allows festival participants to stand up in front of a live audience and show off their singing voices. Performers were broken up into age categories including a kindergarten through 4th grade, 5th through 8th grade, high school, and adult. For three hours, onlookers were treated to some of the best vocal talent the area has to offer. Julie Leonard took first place in the kindergarten through 4th grade class by singing Kellie Pickler's "I Wonder." Kobe Rigdon took second with "Songs About Me" by Trace Adkins. Reige Fulton took third in the 5th through 8th grade class by performing "It Probably Wouldn't be This Way" by Leann Rimes. Second place went to "The Front Street Boys" John, Eric, and Jerry Strange for their song "Boil the Cabbage." First place went to Laureen Ring for singing "Three Wooden Crosses" by Randy Travis. For the 9 to 12 grade class, Ashley Cantrell took second singing "Inside Your Heaven" by Carrie Underwood. First place went to Ashley Smith singing Kellie Pickler's "I Wonder." The adult class winners were: Kira Fryman third, and Jamie Ellis second place for singing Keith Anderson's "Double XL." First place saw a tie between Cody Kirschner for an original song and Jessica Bothman for singing Kellie Pickler's "Red High Heels." Kirschner also took the Best in Show award, bringing this year's contest to a close.
