Shanghai Tobacco Group Installs Basic Research And Development Platform

Shanghai Tobacco Group - one of the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturers - is in the process of installing a 500kg/h experimental tobacco cutting line as a basic research and development platform for its technical transformation drive in the 2006-2010 period. After a period of careful preparation, the 500kg/h experimental tobacco cutting line was moved into the work site for positioning and installation in late June. So far, the construction of support power facilities for the experimental tobacco cutting line has been completed smoothly. So has the hoisting and positioning of its main production equipment. The installation of the experimental tobacco cutting line is expected to enter the stage of comprehensive testing in mid-September and its technical appraisal and acceptance is expected to be completed by the end of October.
