Hauni Delegation Visits Hongyun Group

A high-level delegation from Hauni Maschinenbau AG of Germany, led by Hauni's chief executive Richard Bauer and its far east operation director and general manager Clause G. Stadtler, visited Hongyun Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - the second largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer - on August 10. During the visit, the Hauni delegation was briefed by Hongyun President Zhu Shaoming on the incorporation of Hongyun Group as well as its management models, organizational structure, technical transformation, relocation, etc. At a meeting between the two sides during the visit, Bauer said that Hauni - permanently dedicated to technological research and development - achieved a major breakthrough in changing the model of its products in 2003. In 2006, Hauni earmarked 10 percent of its proceeds for the research and development of core products, achieving remarkable success, Bauer said. For years, Hauni has maintained relations of favorable cooperation with the tobacco industry of China, keeping introducing new production equipment and technology into China. As a result, the two sides have been able to learn from each other in many respects, according to Bauer. Bauer said the Hauni delegation's visit was intended to strengthen contact with Hongyun Group and explore ways of further extending business cooperation between the two sides. Speaking on the same occasion, Zhu said that Hongyun Group attaches great importance to the choice of models of production equipment. He expressed the hope that the two sides will strengthen contact and mutual understanding, and intensify efforts to well solve all existing problems in bilateral cooperation in a relatively short period of time.
