Tobacco Training Class Set

If you sell tobacco to a minor, in Iowa, you face a hefty fine. And, if you do it often enough, your store could lose its tobacco license. That's why authorities in Lyon County, Iowa, want to teach retailers how to spot minors... and make sure they don't sell to them. The Iowa Pledge Retailer certification class is set for August 24th, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, in Rock Rapids. The class will teach clerks the basics of Iowa's tobacco laws, as well as, fundamentals of driver's license evaluation and age verification. Registration for the free two hour class is available through the state of Iowa's website. Enditem
