Oxnard police on Thursday arrested Paul Kwon, 63, the owner of Tobacco King, said police spokesman David Keith. Police were tipped to the activities by a neighborhood resident, Keith said.
"The weapons part isn't really unusual, but the slot machines -- we haven't seen that before," he said. "We've had poker, blackjack and dice, but not slot machines."
Police seized two slot machines, more than $6,600 in cash and a wide array of illegal weapons. On display at the store were 52 illegal weapons that included brass knuckles and can swords.
The owner was booked on felony charges of possession and sale of dangerous weapons. He was also charged with misdemeanor counts of possessing a switchblade and gambling equipment.
