The group of ministers set up to decide the issue of putting pictorial warnings on all tobacco products missed its own late June deadline by which it had hoped to make a decision, reports The Financial Express. Industry sources said the bidi manufacturers' lobby had successfully delayed a decision, citing loss of jobs and packaging problems. Canada, Brazil, Singapore and Australia already require cigarette companies to print graphic health warnings on their products. Enditem
