New Joint-Venture Leaf Tobacco Company Established

A new joint-venture leaf tobacco company funded by two provincial-level operators of the tobacco industry in China - Bolilongxiang Leaf Tobacco Co., Ltd. - was established in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province on April 28. The establishment of Bolilongxiang Leaf Tobacco Co., Ltd. between Heilongjiang Provincial Tobacco Company and Hunan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation in south central China's Hunan Province is hailed as a new major event in the development of strategic partnership between the two sides. General Manager Lu Zhongxin of Heilongjiang Provincial Tobacco Company and General Manager Zhou Changgong of Hunan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation were among the dignitaries cutting the ribbon to inaugurate Bolilongxiang Leaf Tobacco Co., Ltd. In an address to the inaugural ceremony, Lu extended warm congratulations on the establishment of the joint-venture leaf tobacco company. Speaking on the same occasion, Zhou said that the establishment of Bolilongxiang Leaf Tobacco Co., Ltd. was a specific step taken by the two sides in implementing the policy of "deepening reform, promoting restructuring, developing association and seeking common development" adopted by the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, which would be of great significance to further promoting the strategic partnership between the two sides.
