Zimbabwe Hikes Tobacco Support Price

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe has increased the tobacco support price 36-fold from 5,000 to 180,000 Zimbabwe dollars (from $0.05 to nearly $2.00) per kilogram. The move comes ahead of the opening of the sales floors on April 25, reports The Herald. An additional early delivery bonus of Z$40,000 per kg will be paid to farmers who deliver their crop before July 31, over and above the floor price. Enditem
