County Tobacco Company Encourages Farmers to Grow Autumn Tobacco

The tobacco company of Juxian County in east China's Shandong Province is encouraging local farmers to grow autumn tobacco, locally known as wheat stubble tobacco, in wheat fields following the harvest of wheat in Autumn. Explaining that growing autumn tobacco following the harvest of wheat is more beneficial, Juxian County Tobacco Company has been urging local farmers to grow autumn tobacco over the past few months in accordance with the natural conditions in the county, and has promised to offer them additional subsidies at a rate of 100 yuan per mu (12.3 U.S. dollars per 0.067 hectare), greatly arousing the enthusiasm of local farmers to grow autumn tobacco.
