The two robbery suspects, Herbert Elliott Jr., 22, and Omari Manuel, 23, are charged with first-degree murder.
During the investigation, police found a box that contained marijuana, a small amount of cocaine and mushrooms inside the tobacco store. However, no drug charges were filed against Kline or any of the store employees. Enditem
Prime Minister pledges to meet tobacco growers' demands
Skopje, 19:58
Roughly 2.000 tobacco producers from Prilep and other towns across Macedonia staged a several-hour protest, discontent of the manipulations during purchase operations, more specifically, the deliberate disparagement in classification of tobacco quality. Fixing the price at 150 Denars per kilogram tobacco, plus 60 Denars state premium and reducing the payment deadline from 45 to 7 days, have also been included in the demands.
After clustering into three associations, the tobacco growers have delegated representatives who met with Buckovski Friday afternoon.
He vowed to form mixed inspection teams consisting of state inspectors and farmers' representatives, tasked to monitor the buyout at the purchase points.
Buckovski also pledged to provide state guarantees for approving credit line to the Prilep Tobacco Company, intended for purchase of tobacco crops, due to be launched on Monday.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister said that correction of the purchase price will take place, not ruling out the possibility to fix it at the demanded 150 Denars/kg.
After Buckovski qualified the request of 60 Denars state premium as unrealistic, the tobacco producers settled for 20 Denars/kg.
The talks over purchase prices and subsidies are due to resume on Tuesday.
Today's talks came after week-long protests in the Strumica and Prilep area.
The Macedonian tobacco industry is mainly concentrated in Prilep region. The annual production volume of 40.000 tons of tobacco at the time, is now reduced to 15.000 tons. Enditem
