B&W's Macon Plant Under the Hammer

Parts of Brown & Williamson's Macon, Georgia, USA, site will be auctioned tomorrow. As a first step of redeveloping the site, Stuart B. Millner & Associates has a 16-month "Total Plant Deactivation" contract to liquidate the personal property and decommission the site, which comprises 1.5 million square feet of plant and additional facility support structures. Thursday's sale is one of five to be held during the term of the contract. The auction will include a 25,000 square feet laboratory, an array of processing equipment, a commercial kitchen and executive cafeteria.
