India Looking to Double Leaf Exports Source from: tobaccoreporter.com 10/09/2005 India is aiming to double its annual leaf tobacco exports to 300,000 tons by 2009, according to a report in the Hindu Business Line quoting the president of the Indian Tobacco Association, Ch. Narendranath.
Exports were growing at 16 percent a year, Narendranath told reporters at a four-day tobacco conference being held in Hyderabad. "We are confident of growing at 16 percent-20 percent," he said. "Our main focus is on exports." Enditem
