Tobacco Growing Trust Conducts Roadshows at Auction Floors

The Tobacco Growers Trust has started conducting road shows at the three main tobacco auction floors in a move that will see tobacco growers securing farming implements under the Export Retention Scheme. Addressing tobacco growers at one of the main auction floors in Harare Tobacco Growers Trust Chairperson Mr Wilfanos Mashingaidze says the government has put in place modalities to assist new farmers to import farming implements under the Export Retention Scheme. Mr Mashingaidze pointed out that the tobacco growers trust is working together with government to facilitate all the documentation involving the importation of farm implements at minimum rates. aThe Export Retention Scheme was introduced by Central Bank of Zimbabwe to help new farmers who do no have the capacity and resources to import implements as well as to boost tillage and other farming activities.
