Northern China's Most Advanced Cigarette Production Line Installed

An advanced Passim-12K-GDX2000 high-speed cigarette production line was installed and put into operation in Changchun Cigarette Factory of Hongta Group in northeast China's Jilin Province on May 18. The production line consists of two cigarette-making units, respectively manufactured by Molins of Britain and GD of Italy. As the only one of its kind and also the most advanced one in northern China, the production line meets the world's advanced level for the present. The Molins unit has a highest designed speed of turning out 12,000 cigarettes per minute while the GD unit has a designed production capacity of 600 packets per minute. Both have been the most advanced cigarette production equipment used in China so far. According to Changchun Cigarette Factory, the installation and entry into operation of the Passim-12K-GDX2000 high-speed cigarette production line will contribute to significantly upgrading its capacity of producing hard-packaging cigarettes, saving energy, relieving pressure on existing hard-packaging cigarettes production equipment, creating conditions for meeting market demand, and strengthening its competitiveness and future development capacity.
