Alcan Buys Malaysian Tobacco Packaging Plant

Alcan Inc. said on Monday it bought the tobacco packaging interests of CM Printing Sdn Bhd in Malaysia, further developing its presence in emerging economic regions. The company said the plant located in Rawang will incorporate modern equipment and infrastructure to further complement Alcan Packaging's existing tobacco and flexibles printing capability in South-East Asia. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Enditem
