Tobacco Transition Information Available

Tobacco growers and quota holders can learn more about the tobacco buyout at a meeting at 7 p.m. April 12 at the Brookville Elementary School, 10160 Oxford Pike. Signup for the transition program began March 14 and ends June 17. Producers who don't enroll by the deadline won't receive a 2005 payment. The meeting will explain who's eligible for the Tobacco Transition Payment Program, what types of quota tobacco are eligible and how producers and holders can obtain payments. Enditem
