Johnny Bullock, 63, Dies; Known in Farming Circles

SERVED ON TOBACCO COUNCILS AND ADVISORY BOARDS Johnny Bullock, a well-known figure in agricultural circles, died of complications from cancer Thursday at his home in Somerset. He was 63. Mr. Bullock, a farmer in Pulaski County, was the immediate past president of the Council for Burley Tobacco and a past president of the Burley Farmers Advisory Council. He also had been president of the Pulaski County Farm Bureau and a member of the Kentucky Farm Bureau Tobacco Committee. He had served on the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agriculture Marketing Service and was a member of the state Forestry Best Management Practice Board. He also was chairman of the Pulaski County Southern States Cooperative board. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Somerset. Surviving are his wife, Jan Bullock; two sons, Mike Bullock and Mark Bullock, both of Somerset; a daughter, Leah Maybrier of Somerset; two sisters; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Sunday. Enditem
