BAT-Yava Tobacco Plant Gets New Owner Source from: MOSCOW. (Interfax) 09/06/2004 British-American Tobacco Russia, Ltd. now owns 93.12% of the common stock in British-American Tobacco - Yava (BAT- Yava, Moscow), one of the biggest cigarette producers in Russia.
BAT Russia Ltd. formerly owned 0.1% of the stock. Former owner British- American Tobacco, Ltd. now owns 0.1%.
BAT Russia PR and information coordinator Anna Prazdnikova told Interfax "there is nothing hidden" in the ownership change.
"Instead of one company that is part of the company group British American Tobacco, another company that is also part of the group has become the main shareholder," she said. Enditem
