BULGARIA: Bulgartabac Privatisation Expected to Start in August

Authorities in Sofia say that the privatisation process of Bulgaria's tobacco giant Bulgartabac incorporating twelve leaf processing plants and nine cigarette factories at home and five facilities abroad, progresses according to the schedule, reports the news agency Novinite (News). Bulgaria's economy minister Lidia Shuleva explained that the privatisation was to be launched right after the sale's consultants present their studies and recommendations, which was expected by the end of July. According to the government's decision of last October, Bulgartabac is to be sold piecemeal. BAT, PM, Gallaher, Imperial, Philip Morris and KT&G of Korea are among the bidders. Enditem
