Senior BAT Official Inspects Tobacco Plantations in Southwest China

A senior official of British American Tobacco (BAT) has recently inspected high-quality tobacco plantations established in Wenshan Region of southwest China's Yunnan Province in association with BAT. Accompanied by BAT Yunnan regional general manager Yu Fanli and top leaders of Wenshan Region, Tom Hext, the BAT Head of Oriental Leaf, inspected the 11,000 mu (733.3 hectares) of high-quality tobacco plantations established in the region in association with BAT, locally known as the BAT international-type high-quality tobacco base. During the inspection, Hext fully affirmed the achievements made by Wenshan Region in technical cooperation with BAT and in the establishment of the BAT tobacco base in the region, and expressed satisfaction over and confidence in cooperation between the two sides. Hext visited Wenshan Region Tobacco Leaf Redrying Factory and heard reports on technical transformation of the factory, expressing satisfaction over progress in this respect.
