P75 Per cent of Moldova Tobacco Supplied to Russia

The ministry of agriculture of the Republic of Moldova announced that 75 per cent of the locally grown tobacco exported over the first quarter of 2004 was supplied to Russia. In January to March, the country sold 1.6 million kilos of leaf abroad, of which 1.2 million kilos were bought by Russian cigarette manufacturers.
